APTOS is a new-generation lifting thread system based on innovative NAMICA technology. How does the procedure work?
APTOS NAMICA threads are made of P(LACL) — a polymer that combines the properties of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and caprolactone. The threads are coated with biodegradable micro-, submicro-, and nanocapsules that gradually release hyaluronic acid into the tissues, providing long-lasting biorevitalization and collagen stimulation in three stages:
Stage 1 (during the first 2–3 weeks):
Hyaluronic acid is released, accelerating recovery and reducing swelling and bruising. The skin heals faster.
Stage 2 (1st–3rd month):
Active collagen stimulation and biorevitalization begin — skin elasticity and structure improve, and collagen production is enhanced.
Stage 3 (4th–6th month):
Hyaluronic acid reaches the deeper skin layers. The effect is comparable to consistent biorevitalization, without the need for additional injections.
How is the procedure performed?
The treatment is carried out under local anesthesia.
The specialist inserts the threads into the subdermal layer using a fine cannula or needle, following the natural lifting vectors of the face or neck.
The threads are then gently adjusted to achieve the desired lifting effect.
The procedure takes approximately 40–60 minutes, and recovery is typically quick, most patients can return to daily activities within a few days.

Before & after the procedure
Before the procedure
- Avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours before the procedure.
- Avoid sun exposure for at least 48 hours before treatment. Lifting threads should not be inserted into freshly tanned or sunburned skin.
- 3–7 days prior, refrain from taking blood-thinning medications (such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Marevan, Hjertemagnyl).
- 1 week before the procedure, avoid dietary supplements containing fish oil or vitamin E.
- The procedure cannot be performed during antibiotic treatment — at least 2 weeks must have passed since the last dose.
- If you are taking any medications, please inform your specialist before the procedure.
- The procedure cannot be performed if you have an allergy to lidocaine (a local anesthetic).
- Contraindications: oncological diseases, chronic inflammation, keloid scars, active herpes, blood disorders, autoimmune diseases, hypertrophic diseases, or fever.
- The procedure is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Please come to the appointment without makeup, if possible.
After the procedure
- Avoid touching the thread insertion area for 12 hours.
- Do not apply makeup on the treated area for 12 hours after the procedure.
- Avoid alcohol consumption for 24 hours.
- Refrain from heavy physical activity and intense exercise for 2 weeks.
- Do not visit saunas or take hot baths for 2 weeks.
- For 2 weeks, cleanse and moisturize the treated area gently using mild skincare products.
- Protect the skin from UV exposure with SPF 50 sunscreen for 2 weeks, especially if bruising occurs.
- Avoid massaging or performing strong device-based treatments on the treated area for 1 month.
- Mild redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness, or numbness may occur after the procedure, these are temporary.
- To reduce swelling, apply cold compresses and consider taking antihistamines (e.g., Zyrtec or Claritin).
- Inform your specialist if any unusual reactions or side effects persist for more than one week.
