How does the procedure work?
The SmoothEye procedure uses the SMOOTH mode of the Fotona laser, which works on the skin smoothly and gently. During the procedure, an intense and controlled temperature is used to warm the surface tissue. This helps to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and induces neocollagenesis. The procedure is very quick, lasts about 10-15 minutes and is accompanied by a slight sensation of heat. The SmoothEye procedure does not damage the skin and is therefore well tolerated. After the procedure, there may be some mild swelling, sensitivity and scaling of the skin, which disappears within a few days. As a result, there will be fewer wrinkles around the eye area, the skin will be firmer and younger looking.
Your treatment begins with a consultation, where a specialist will take a thorough medical history, inquire about your health, past tan and any medications used.
The skin is cleansed before the procedure.
The next step is for the specialist to set the laser to the appropriate settings and set up a cooling machine to help cool the skin and reduce the sensation of heat during the procedure.
To prevent the laser beam from getting into the eyes, special darkening goggles are used during the procedure.
The specialist will then start the laser treatment, treating the skin with several different wavelengths.
After the procedure, the specialist applies a soothing cream and, if necessary, a sunscreen.
