How does the procedure suit You?
Laser treatment (ND:Yag) is the most effective solution for capillary removal. Laser therapy provides a fast and effective way to reduce and remove superficial vascular lesions (angiomas, hemangiomas, individual capillaries). The laser penetrates to the depth of the target blood vessel, whilst the laser’s energy selectively destroys the blood cells within the blood vessel with no damage to the surrounding tissue. This allows for selective destruction of superficial vascular lesions with minimal downtime. Treated vessels are discarded by the body’s natural lymphatic system.

How does the procedure work?
We use the Fotona Dynamis long-pulse Nd:YAG laser that offers the perfect solution for treating vascular lesions.
The procedure is preceded by a consultation where the specialist takes a thorough medical history, examines the patient's medical condition, previous procedures and the medication used.
The skin is cleansed before the procedure.
The next step is for the specialist to set the laser to the appropriate settings and set up the cooling machine, which helps to cool the skin during the procedure and reduce the sensation of heat on the skin.
To prevent the laser beam from getting into the eyes, special darkening goggles are used during the procedure.
The specialist will then start the laser treatment.
After the procedure, the specialist applies a soothing cream and a sunscreen, if necessary.
Results
Appear
The results can be seen within 4 weeks.
Immediately after the procedure, the capillaries may darken, but after 2-4 weeks the real results of the treatment will be visible. If the capillary has not disappeared within 4 weeks, a new procedure will be necessary. It may take 1 to 3 treatments to achieve the final result.
Recovery time: up to 1 week

Before & after the procedure
Before the procedure
- The procedure cannot be carried out on tanned, brown skin. At least 2 to 4 weeks must have passed since last tanning, depending on the skin tone. Also, self-tanning creams should not be used for 2 weeks before the procedure.
- We do not perform the procedure during antibiotic treatment, 2 weeks must have passed since the last medication.
- If you are taking any medication, please make sure to let us know before coming in for the procedure.
- We do not perform the procedure when you have active infections such as cold sores, acne, rosacea.
- Discontinue the use of retinol and AHA/BHA products at least 3-5 days before the procedure. Resume use once the skin has recovered from the procedure.
- Contraindications are pregnancy, breastfeeding, oncological diseases, chronic inflammation of the body, keloid scars, active herpes, freshly tanned skin.
- If possible, please come without make-up.
- Individuals under 18 years of age must have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- No peeling of the skin is allowed both before and after the procedure.
- Laser treatment is not suitable for the treatment of large leg veins (consider sclerotherapy).
- Laser treatment can be carried out at least 1 month after sclerotherapy.
After the procedure
- Redness, swelling, skin sensitivity, small blisters may occur after the procedure and last for several days after the procedure.
- Smoking is not recommended 4 hours after the procedure.
- No make-up products should be used 12 hours after the procedure.
- 24 hours after the procedure, do not drink alcohol and do not exercise.
- Avoid sauna, hot bath or spa treatments for 2 weeks.
- During 4 weeks, protect the area from UV light (use sunscreen SPF50). Sunscreen should be reapplied every two hours. If you work indoors, sit away from windows. Be mindful of how often you step outside.
- Other facial treatments (beautician, facial massage, chemical peels, beauty injections, etc.) may be performed after 2 weeks.
- To reduce the sensation of burning, you can keep a cold compress on your skin (only from the fridge, not the freezer).
- To soothe the burning sensation and restore the skin, use a skin regenerating cream (e.g. Bepanthen, Burnshield, Burnjel) until the skin has recovered.
- Thermal water sprays (Avene, La Roche Posay) are also very effective in moisturizing and soothing the skin.
- If swelling occurs antihistamines (anti-allergy medication, e.g. Zyrtec, Claritine) can be used.

Will capillary removal provide permanent results?
The treated vascular lesion will not return if you follow the recommended aftercare directions and correctly maintain the treatment area. Vascular lesions such as broken capillaries and angiomas can appear as you age so maintenance treatments are recommended.
How many laser treatments are needed for leg veins?
Usually 4-5 treatments. They are scheduled every 4-6 weeks, as prescribed by your specialist. (If you have poor blood circulation feeding these tiny veins, the larger "feeder" vein must first be treated with surgery, endovenous laser or sclerotherapy).
