How does the procedure work?
During a biorevitalization procedure, hyaluronic acid, a substance specific to the human body, is injected into the skin. Hyaluronic acid helps to maintain high moisture levels in the skin and restores the properties necessary to keep the skin youthful. The procedure moisturizes, restores skin elasticity and gives a radiant and healthy appearance. The procedure helps to restore the skin even after intense procedures or intense sun exposure.
In our clinic different products are to choose from - Juvederm Skinvive, Belotero Revive, Teosyal Redensity 1, Hyalual. Your specialist will choose the right one for you.
To start with you should have 3 treatments 4 weeks apart, then once you see your results you could leave 4-6 months between each treatment after that.
Recovery time: 3 days - 1 week.
The procedure is preceded by a consultation where a specialist takes a thorough medical history, examines the medical condition, previous procedures and the medication used.
Before the procedure, make-up is removed from the skin and the area to be injected is disinfected.
If necessary, a numbing cream is applied.
The chosen biorevitalization product is then injected into or under the skin using the appropriate technique.
After the injection, a restorative cream is applied.

- At least 48 hours must have passed since tanning. Injection procedures are not recommended on freshly tanned or sunburnt skin. Avoid self tanning products for one week before the procedure.

- For 1 week prior to the procedure, we recommend avoiding fish oil and vitamin E supplements.
- Contraindications are: pregnancy, breastfeeding, inflammation of the skin, active herpes (on the lip).
- If you are taking any medication, please let us know before coming for the procedure.
- We do not perform the procedure during antibiotic treatment, 2 weeks must have passed since the last medication.
- We recommend coming to the procedure with no make-up.
After the procedure
- On the day of injections, keep the injection areas clean to avoid the risk of infection.
- Around the injection sites you might experience small bumps which look a little like small bee stings, this is common with any injectable treatment and should last 24-72 hours.
-
Mild redness, bruising, swelling, skin sensitivity may occur after the procedure.
- In case of swelling, antihistamines (e.g. Zyrtec, Claritin) and cold compresses may be used if necessary.

Questions?
We have answers
I don't know which product to choose?
Before the procedure a specialist can recommend which product is suitable for you.
How often should you have biorevitalization treatment?
Commonly, three treatment sessions, spaced four weeks apart, are recommended. This initial treatment period is followed by maintenance top-ups at 4 to 6 month intervals. This, again, depends on the patient’s needs and skin condition.
Does the procedure hurt?
Biorevitalization typically involves some discomfort because you’re having multiple injections. We also use a topical anesthetic (numbing cream) before the procedure and use a very thin needle for injections.
How long is the recovery time?
After superficial biorevitalization, papules remain on the skin, which usually disappear after 2-3 days. Small bruises and slight redness and swelling may also remain and usually disappear within a week. Make-up products may be used the following day.
Is mesotherapy better than biorevitalization?
Mesotherapy is better suited for younger skin. If you start early enough, mesotherapy is effective at preventing aging. Biorevitalization is most effective on patients who are 25+ or who have more advanced signs of aging.
