Removal of benign skin lesions
If malignancy is suspected, it is essential to remove the lesion surgically, not by laser.
Ablative laser is the most effective way to remove benign skin lesions. CO2 laser is the gold standard in ablative lasers. In our clinic we use the Lumenis Acupulse laser that is completely ablative and offers full resurfacing procedures. It features true state-of-the-art technology that can fulfill even the toughest resurfacing treatments. Procedure is performed by a dermatologist.

Dermatology appointment
Both children and adults are welcome to see a dermatologist to diagnose various skin diseases, check moles with a dermatoscope or remove benign skin lesions (keratosis, papilloma, etc.) with a laser. Dermatologists also handle other disorders, like hair loss and scars.

Dermtest Mole Examination
Dermtest is a convenient and reliable service that allows the assessment of moles without waiting in line for an in-person dermatologist appointment.
At our clinic, professional mole imaging is performed by a Medemis nurse using a high-quality dermatoscope. The images are then securely forwarded to a dermatologist for evaluation.
Dermtesti abil saame sünnimärke ka kaardistada ja pikemaajaliselt jälgida, mis aitab õigeaegselt märgata võimalikke muutusi ja vähiriski tunnuseid.
Questions?
We have answers
1. Which skin concerns can a dermatologist help with?
A dermatologist helps with acne, eczema, dermatitis, allergies, hair thinning, pigmentation changes, nail problems and many other skin, hair and nail conditions. The doctor makes an accurate diagnosis and creates a personalized treatment plan.
2. Is a referral needed for a dermatologist appointment?
No. At Medemis you can come to a dermatologist appointment without a referral, and booking is fast and easy. If needed, the doctor performs investigations and prescribes appropriate treatment immediately.
3. What does a dermatology consultation look like?
The doctor evaluates the skin condition, asks about symptoms and medical history, and performs a dermatoscopic examination if needed. They then explain the diagnosis, treatment options, and provide instructions for further care.
4. Are skin lesions removed at Medemis?
Yes, at Medemis we remove skin lesions such as moles, fibromas, papillomas and keratomas. The dermatologist first evaluates the nature of the formation and then chooses the appropriate removal method to ensure a safe result and quick healing.
