Rosacea Treatment
Treatment includes IPL light therapy to reduce redness and visible capillaries, calming facials to support the skin barrier, and personalised home care guidance. The treatment plan is tailored to the severity and presentation of your rosacea. -
IPL treatment for redness
IPL light therapy is one of the most effective methods for red skin conditions (rosacea and couperose). The procedure is also suitable for the treatment of red scars.
-
Laser capillary removal
Laser treatment is the most effective solution for removing red or blue capillaries caused by dilated blood vessels. The laser beam is absorbed by the blood vessels, the blood evaporates and the vessel dries up.
-
Aesthetic consultation
See an aesthetic specialist if you have a specific concern or want to find out about procedures. An aesthetic nurse or doctor will help you find a solution to your problem and develop a recommended plan for home care and procedures.
Questions?
We have answers
What is rosacea and how is it treated?
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that causes facial redness, visible blood vessels and sometimes red bumps. At Medemis we treat rosacea with IPL light therapy, which reduces redness and capillaries, and with laser, which removes visible blood vessels.
How many treatments are needed to reduce redness?
We typically recommend 3–5 IPL sessions at 3–4 week intervals. For removing visible capillaries with laser, 1–3 sessions are often enough. The doctor evaluates your skin condition and creates a personalized treatment plan.
Is the redness treatment permanent?
IPL and laser treatments produce long-lasting results, but rosacea is a chronic condition and redness can partially return over time. Maintenance treatments 1–2 times a year help preserve the results. The doctor also advises on daily skincare.
Is IPL therapy safe for facial redness?
Yes, IPL is a proven and safe method for treating facial redness and rosacea. The light pulses are precisely targeted at dilated blood vessels without damaging surrounding skin. The treatment is performed by experienced specialists.
What is the recovery time after redness treatment?
Mild redness and swelling may occur for a few hours after the treatment. With laser treatment of capillaries, mild bruising may appear and fade within 3–5 days. You can return to daily activities immediately after treatment.
